Movado Group Partners with Paani to Address Water Contamination in India

Movado Group is proud to support Paani in their critical mission to address water contamination in the Arkavathi and Vrishabhavathi Rivers in Bengaluru, India. An innovative and dedicated nonprofit, Paani empowers citizens with data, information, and analysis that can save rivers, fostering sustainable management of river resources. In the first phase of this project, Paani's team conducted extensive fieldwork to collect water and sediment samples across multiple strategic locations. The analysis revealed alarming concentrations of harmful contaminants, including carcinogenic phthalates, heavy metals, and persistent organic chemicals. These findings highlight the urgent need for improved water treatment technologies to ensure safe drinking water for local communities. Through our partnership, we aim to empower citizens with data and advocate for sustainable water management practices that protect both human health and the environment.
